Description:
The Kryptonite Stage 2 Leveling Kit with FOX Performance Series 2.0 IFP Shocks is a complete front suspension system engineered specifically for 2017-2022 Ford Super Duty diesel trucks. Designed to improve ride quality, suspension geometry, steering stability, and overall durability, this package combines Kryptonite’s heavy-duty suspension components with FOX’s race-proven shock technology to create a suspension system built for demanding work trucks, daily drivers, and recreational towing applications.
At the core of the system are Kryptonite’s dual-rate coil springs, engineered around the unique weight and suspension requirements of the Super Duty platform. Unlike generic leveling springs, these coils are designed to improve ride comfort and suspension compliance while maintaining the load-carrying capability these trucks are known for. Whether towing heavy trailers, hauling equipment, or driving unloaded, the spring design provides a controlled, comfortable ride without sacrificing capability.
Handling suspension duties are FOX Performance Series 2.0 IFP shocks. Featuring a monotube design with an Internal Floating Piston, these shocks separate shock oil from the high-pressure nitrogen gas chamber to eliminate aeration and maintain consistent damping performance. FOX’s application-specific valving and race-developed high-flow piston design provide excellent control over rough pavement, expansion joints, washboard roads, and uneven terrain while delivering predictable handling on and off the pavement. The precision-machined 6061-T6 aluminum shock body improves cooling efficiency and will never rust, making it ideal for trucks that see year-round use in harsh environments.
To maintain proper steering geometry after leveling, the kit includes Kryptonite 2-degree caster correction shims. These precision-machined shims restore factory caster angles lost during the leveling process, helping improve straight-line stability, steering feel, return-to-center characteristics, and overall driving confidence. Billet aluminum bump stop spacers are also included to ensure proper suspension travel and prevent the shocks from bottoming out before the factory bump stops engage.
Combined with premium hardware throughout, this complete suspension system delivers improved ride quality, proper suspension geometry, enhanced steering stability, and long-term durability, making it an ideal upgrade for Super Duty owners who want improved performance without the added complexity of replacement radius arms.
2.5” vs 3.5” Lift Explained
Ford changed the factory ride height of the Super Duty platform starting in 2020, lowering the front suspension approximately 1” compared to 2005-2019 trucks. Because of this, the exact same Kryptonite leveling spring will produce different lift heights depending on model year.
- 2005-2019 Super Duty trucks will see approximately 2.5” of front lift
- 2020+ Super Duty trucks will see approximately 3.5” of front lift
No changes were made to the spring itself, the newer trucks simply start from a lower factory ride height.
2020+ Tremor models already include a factory lifted suspension package and sit approximately 2” taller than a standard Super Duty from the factory. On Tremor-equipped trucks, these springs will provide approximately 1.5” of additional front lift.
