Description:
The Kryptonite Idler Arm Assembly is designed to strengthen and stabilize the steering system on 1988–1992 GM C and K Series trucks and SUVs. The idler arm serves as a critical pivot point that connects the center link to the frame, supporting the entire steering linkage and directly affecting steering feel, control, and stability. When the idler arm wears, drivers often experience steering wander, vibration, or inconsistent handling.
Kryptonite addresses these issues with an oversized forged construction that delivers significantly greater strength and rigidity than OEM components, paired with a heat treated 4140 chromoly stud for exceptional durability and resistance to deflection under load. The greasable, serviceable design allows fresh grease to be added to maintain smooth operation and extend service life, helping prevent premature wear caused by contamination and friction.
