Already running Kryptonite KRTR12 Death Grip Tie Rods? This upgrade kit allows you to convert your steering system to Kryptonite’s legendary H1-inspired center link without replacing components you already own.
Rather than purchasing a complete steering system, this kit reuses your existing Kryptonite outer tie rod ends while replacing the factory curved center link with Kryptonite’s massive 1-5/8” hexagonal 1144 Stressproof carbon steel center link. New Death Grip inner rod ends and longer tie rod bodies are included to properly adapt the system while maintaining factory steering geometry, alignment specifications, and full turning radius.
Inspired by the steering system found on the military H1 Hummer, this design replaces the factory curved center link and straight inner tie rod arrangement with a stronger steering architecture utilizing dual 90-degree inner rod ends. This configuration is significantly better suited to handle the high axial loads created by oversized tires, lifted suspensions, towing, and aggressive off-road use.
