The Kryptonite Death Grip Idler Arm & Idler Support Kit is one of the most effective upgrades for tightening the steering on 1999-2006 GM 1500 4WD trucks and SUVs. The factory idler arm is one of the largest contributors to steering play on center link-equipped trucks, allowing unwanted deflection that leads to loose steering, wandering, and reduced driver confidence.
The Death Grip Idler Arm replaces the factory component with a high-strength forged steel housing, a heat-treated 4140 chromoly stud, and a maintenance-free dual sealed roller bearing system. Unlike conventional idler arms that rely on bushings, the roller bearing design delivers smoother operation, increased durability, and precise steering while maintaining full factory turning radius.
